Italy is set to trim its planned tax increase on crypto capital gains, <a href="https://www.reuters.com/markets/currencies/italy-scale-back-tax-hike-cryptocurrency-capital-gains-lawmakers-say-2024-12-10/" target="_blank">Reuters reported on Tuesday</a>.Two months ago, the government was intent on raising the tax <a href="https://www.coindesk.com/policy/2024/10/16/italy-to-raise-capital-gains-tax-on-crypto-to-42-from-26-reports" target="_blank">to 42% from 26%</a> by the end of December.
